It’s every mother’s worst nightmare: her daughter falls in love with the guitarist from a rock & roll band. Fortunately for me, that guitarist decided to stick around and we eventually got hitched. Then one day, that band needed a chick to sing the Margie Hendricks part from the Ray Charles tune “Hit the Road Jack”. One song led to another, and I was eventually inducted as a bona fide band member!
